Re: 100% Crash. Easy Repro: Copy/Paste (CtrlC/Ctrl-V)

Does anyone know if this crash fix in v8.1.3 is related to this issue?
- Copying clips from tracks containing Max for Live devices which send getpath to live.object on a loadbang would crash Live.

Midi output of Automation to BCF2000 behaves undesirably.

When I record some automation with the BCF2000, and then play the automation back, the BCF2000 will normally move the faders to to right spot as the automation plays back.

However the behaviour now is that once the automation has stopped jumping around for ,say 500ms, only THEN will ableton ...

Re: Live API : Copy Paste?

Keystroke emulation is easy with the aka.keyboard external. http://www.iamas.ac.jp/~aka/max/#aka_keyboard

Though thisvis cool, and I wish it worked for windows, it does however not address the VERY first point when I started this post.

There is a 100% crash in M4L when you use Copy/Paste via ...

so I guess you can do that, considering the LOM and methods available for the clip leaf of the LOM tree.
Ya, the LOM doesn't say anything about copying envelopes. Just notes...

Live API : Copy Paste?

There's a copy paste crash bug in M4L that I posted in the bugs forum.
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=138760

Is there a way to Copy a clip and Paste a clip using LiveAPI? I couldn't see one in the resources folder they provide. Only scene and track selection.

I want to
1) Copy ...

Re: 100% Crash. Easy Repro: Copy/Paste (CtrlC/Ctrl-V)

I now have a situation where I can reproduce a persistent crash, but its a little different to what you described.

1) Open up Live.
2) Assign any kind of Max midi effect patch to the midi track (even the step sequencer will do).
3) Double click on a slot in the midi track, then immediately hit ...

100% Crash. Easy Repro: Copy/Paste (CtrlC/Ctrl-V)

Summary: There's a crash when you create a Midi Max patch with an assignable knob on it, followed by pressing Ctrl-C to copy a mdi clip from the midi channel, and then pressing Ctrl-M to goto Midi Map mode.

Setup
Running Live 8.1 and Max v1.2

Re: Legato feature: Return to previous clip

Use the follow actions. It works like a charm for that :D

I see what you mean, but its not quite the same. When I switch to the new clip, the new clip will only goto an exactly known other track with the follow actions. If I say, jumped to the new clip from somewhere way down the clip list, the ...

Legato feature: Return to previous clip

I'm trying to work with the legato feature in Abe.

What I'd like to do is , if I'm playing Clip-A, and I switch to clip-B using legato at 1/16th note quant, I'd like the playback to return to Clip-A when I release the button. So it would just goto Clip-B for only as long as I held the button, and ...

Midi not being forwarded if assigned.

I'm trying to do some midi routing to other programs. Here's my problem.

I have midi coming in from my BCF2000 controller. I've assigned one of the faders to a WEt/Dry knob in a AbletonFX Delay.
I've also for a Midi Channel thats receiving from the BCF2000 and forwarding to a midi loopback device ...

Redirect ableton keystrokes to VSTs.

Some of my VST's require use of the keyboard occasionally, but Ableton is not forwarding any of the keystrokes.

I can't undo, redo, copy, paste, search in any of my VST GUI's because of this.

Does anyone else find this? How are people working around it.
