yur2die4 pedal info
thanks for the post link. i tested the functionality of both inputs last nite with an m-audio SP-2 sustain pedal. pedal 2/record function works with a little delay, but no real issue if yer quantization is set to a bar since you can hit the record footswitch anytime in the previous bar and it'll be ...

i'm about to buy a momentary footswitch to use with Port 2, for turning on and cycling recording/overdub
reading this thread, it seems that neither Yamaha FC-5 or Roland DP-2 pedals work properly as of last notice.
any update? i'd rather get a footswitch ...

keep Sampler living!!!
frankly, i don't care what Ableton does do/with Sampler, as long as they keep on developing it, and improving it, perfecting what it does, and stretching it so it can do things other samplers can't

if you're using OSX 10.4, could be "the airport bug". this is fixed in Leopard and the latest version of 10.4 if memory serves me correctly.
to test: just make sure airport is turned off. then open up Live and play and see if performance improves. if it does, then either update your OS or just keep ...

i pretty much agree with you all the way 'round. Racks are good but still lacking in some flexibility and seemed to arrive a little late. Obviously Live's DAW/tracking/production facilities are limited compared to any other full-fledged DAW i can think of.

then isn't the simplest way to solve your problem for him to transmit on one specific midi channel and you can use the other 15 as necessary for your more complex/numerous mappings??
i don't know for 100% sure, but if you guys are transmitting on different MIDI ...
