From what I understand Ableton Live works in 32-bit float by default. If I want to import my vocals that i recorded in ProTools 7.4 to my A Live Session ,should I export them from PT at 32-bit?
which is a better..: export from PT in 32-bit? import in ableton 32-bit?

does it have something to do ...

I am trying to link, via MIDI :

a : PC windowXP with ProTools on a Digi003
to a : MAC Book Pro Intel running Ableton 6.0.10 on a Motu Ultralite

I am using MIDI In -out in preferences leaving Ableton as slave. It works but it does not recognize song position.

aha. leaving some of the clean signal from the guitar though the MOTU seems to let the guitarist play more confident while the fx running in parallel from Ableton (still with some latency) make his sound really wide and rich. Is there anything equivalent to Protools "import session data " in Ableton Live 6?
I need to take some stuff from session to session but I can't beleive I have mix and automate it all over.

I saw Palenke Soultribe couple weeks ago at The Airliner in LA. t was obvious they were running Ableton Live from a G5..also they had many sythns and a drummer plus video and Dj......any ideas in how everything works together?

The show went great. I used CPU threshold at 68% and I just used EQ filtering on two tracks plus a Aux input with a preset delay. No glitches, I could have been a miracle cuz two days before I was in pain.

I have a show tomorrow but my Live 5.2 is not behaving well. I get small interuptions ..1\4 of a second. I've done everyting I know :
- Running just 3-4 stereo tracks simultaneosly
-They are all frozen. Just moving volume faders.
-Just one is Complex Wrap mode
-CPU usage Threshold is already 65%

yes Live runs through my MBox just fine on its own so does PT 6.9.. but it is either one..Cannot run both using the same intaerface9MBox). It sucks cause I want to record and mix in PT and make my looped stuff in L5. Is it a Core audio thing? I run TIGER...

I know these guys from digidesign are freaking selfish but I can't beleive I can't use protools and Live 5 together via re-wire using my m-box. It seems to that the m_box works for either one of the applications not for both at the same time. That is bad, really bad..
ANybody any idea what to do ...
