James Blake vocal effect? (Lindisfarne)
Hey guys, I've tried searching for this specific effect, but I haven't come up with any solid answers. Specifically my question is whether or not Ableton 8 will be able to achieve this effect live. Here's it live, it starts at 1:14: http://vimeo.com/29834914 I believe the final answer that people ha...

Loops become out of time when start marker is changed?
Hey guys, I have a main drum beat that I want to loop. At the beginning, there are just two snare hits that start off the song. After the two snare hits, I just want to loop the portion after. I can do this by changing the Start Marker to encompass the two snare hits, and the Loop Marker to encompas...

How to map a trigger pad to a specific note?
Hey,
I have a really simple question. I want to map a trigger pad to a specific midi note (it's just a keyboard... I want to hit the pad and it will play the note I want).
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jesse

How to toggle device on/off with midi?
Hey guys, this is a pretty simple question... I'm using a PCR-800 and trying to assign one of the pads to toggle a delay on/off using the Device Activator, but instead of pressing it once to turn it on/off, I have to hold the pad down to keep it on, and release it to turn it off. I assigned it using...

Separate Subgroup/Monitor Mixes?
Hey guys, So I have been trying to find this by myself for a very, very long time. Either I have absolutely no clue what I am looking for, it doesn't exist, or I haven't looked hard enough. I'm using Ableton Live Suite 8. Is there any way to send separate tracks to different subgroups, separate from...

The best way to route Live on stage?
Hey guys, I'm new to Live, and I'm extremely, extremely sorry if this is an overasked question. I swear I did my research, but I couldn't find the right words to ask my question, so I found no answer. I want to start utilizing Live on stage. Right now, I'm getting sound from Live by using my laptop'...

Isolating the right/left channel (very easy question)
Hey guys,
Just got Ableton - zero experience.
I'm sampling a clip for a one-shot and I want to sample only the right channel.
What's the best way of going about doing this?
Thanks!
-Jesse

Re: Please help me find the appropriate midi controller(s)!
Thanks Tone Deft! I don't think I'll be needing pads for drumming, but more for starting samples and loops. Of course, the button matrix on the APC40 covers this. The first priority is the keyboard. I would like a 76 key weighted keyboard with aftertouch + velocity sensitivity... hard to come by. I ...

Re: Please help me find the appropriate midi controller(s)!
Thanks for all of the replies. I've looked at the CME controllers and they look amazing, however I've read in a bunch of places that they have almost no support at all and are not particularly well built. Should this be a legitimate concern or should I still consider it? I've of course thought about...

Please help me find the appropriate midi controller(s)!
Hey guys, Before I start, I want to say that I desperately need your help because I've been going in circles for about four frustrating months as to what to buy. This post will be quite long and I'll TRY my best to go straight to the point. I hope I have more luck here than over at Harmony Central. ...
