I’d dig into tutorials explaining how to recreate Korg M1’s organ sound

Re: Slice volumes are lower than original track
I think the reason for it being -9 is that it might be using Velocity for amplitude envelope. If you set it back to zero, might also consider having Velocity off

I have a particular use case in mind. Some cheap usb c mics take up my iPhone port. I have AUM and pd apps but I’m a novice with pd. The port being used by the mic makes it so I have no physical audio out unless I add more stuff.
Would like to receive mic input into AUM or Note and then send that ...

Re: House/Techno Piano Stab sounding too "organic"
Sometimes something as simple as note length.
There are the am or filter envelopes, adsr can each have a hand in tightening a sound. There are dynamics processing possibilities whether gating or compressing. Also context.. so sometimes if an effect like reverb or delay are there, you might push ...

Re: So... Live on Linux?
Touch is great when the OS and software are built to work seemlessly with it. Otherwise it’s a kind of thing where it seems promising but mostly isn’t ideal. Would be great if Live beefed up its touchability.

Re: Clarification: older versions of Live
In your Account on the site, where you download the Live installer, if you scroll down there is this:
“You can download previous Live versions from the download archive.”
And ‘download archive’ is a URL that leads to hardware updates and Live version updates. With a lot of incremental versions on ...

Re: cc 64 (sustain/hold) on stock live instruments ?
They do respond as expected to it. This is assuming that the sounds programmed have a sustain amount and assuming that you have not already mapped that cc to something else, which would override the ability to use the sustain pedal (though you should still be able to edit it into clips)

These would indeed improve quality of life with these instruments. I like this feature request.

Re: Play all tracks in one scene including those from scenes before that have no stop bouton
So you mention stopping and then starting.
From what I recall, if you hit stop on the transport, and then hit play on the transport (not the scene), then the clips that were previously playing in Session View should play again. Even if you trigger the scene, I would have thought that it would play ...

I’m actually not sure 100 percent if you’re referring to something different from what I thought I was offering insight on. So maybe you could clarify.
Are you talking about audio channels or midi channels? And which plugin are you referring to?

There is no way for Live to know what clips you ‘intended’ to play in place of the blank spots.

Re: Multichannel Vst`s Restriction of 16 channels. Why?
It is kind of a standard. And that is very influenced by the handling of data from classic midi.
Only workaround I can think of is if you had 2 midi ‘devices’ going into Live, and each had 16 channels. Then you could filter by channel + device rather than just channel.

Re: Mac Mini M4 24GB / 256GB SSD – need advice
So you mention them having Linux and some daws that can work with Linux. But you’ve sort of made a broad sweeping claim that ties Ableton Live into the group. Also, you shared a link to a search for “dell laptop”. That could have countless variations. Some performing better than others. Also ...

[Feature Request] Audio Units of Note devices
I know that Note is kind of meant to be a transition into Ableton Live, but I think there is a decent amount of potential for getting a few more of the iOS music junkies intrigued by Note.
