Re: play midi clip tonaly with Mac keyboard

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone could make a max4live instrument device on a channel of its own that allows a selected clip to be played via input into that instrument channel.

Re: Seamless loop playback doesn't work in Arrangement View

Just curious if maybe the position of the warp marker might be a factor. If it is in another spot do you have the pop in the same spot of the loop?

Re: Windows11 Laptop with built-in audio : Any chance to get ASIO driver to run?

With asio4all, it can be tricky figuring out the function of the various outputs in the driver settings.

If you’re not going into the asio4all driver setting interface you’re probably not going to have the best outcome.

Might take a bit of trial and error. I’d activate only one pair of outputs ...

Re: What am I missing..? BPM

I’m pretty experienced with warping. You can practice a bit by dumping a bunch of tracks in and just warping them all. The global tempo doesn’t matter so much. The ‘warp from here’ is a shortcut for most modern music but results may vary… and I personally don’t trust it 100%.

I’ll usually get a ...

Re: What am I missing..? BPM

I looked up the track you are loading in the video.
It is supposed to be 122 bpm.

This means when you warp it, warp it as “122 bpm”

This tells Ableton Live that the original audio that it is referencing is 122 bpm. Always warp clips so that the warping reflects the Actual bpm of the source audio ...

Re: Note 1.3 with Ableton Suite 11.3.41 (Windows Or Mac); incompatible features

I think this probably has to do with the new pitched drum rack feature. I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped the Live 11 support going forward. There’s not really a workaround unless they tweak Live 11 a little

Check every single channel including return channels and main to see if the devices in those channels are any different from the blank set.

You only mention follow actions in Clips in your OP. Turn off follow actions on the clips of the first scene and use follow actions in the Scene trigger setting instead of the clips.

Re: Multi Chains - CPU Usage

By off I mean, pressing the ‘device on off’ button for that device, which can also be set with a macro.

There are a variety of methods one could use to send audio or midi into a device that is not on the active chain.

Chains choose which devices are allowing incoming signal from whatever is on ...

Re: Multi Chains - CPU Usage

Having them present in the set is one factor. Live needs to be ready to go if you switch the plug on.

But if it’s switched ’off’, then it won’t be processing the audio or midi going to it. If it’s ‘on’ but not selected in a chain, that doesn’t necessarily mean you couldn’t still have audio or midi ...

Re: VST plug-ins not working properly when moved to hard drive

In the future I would recommend never just dragging plugin files. They usually need to be “installed” to the new location in order to ensure their associated files are also properly being referenced.

Re: Why aren't potentionmeters mapping at 12 o'clock 0db?

Seems like maybe a logarithmic curve would make this kind of behavior. Would be fun to see how it feels in action.

I think there might be some midi tools that allow you to tweak behavior on a deeper level from a max pack. But by default you’re basically not going to get this behavior at all.

Re: Switching all samples in drum rack mid performance

I’m pretty sure that with a bit of knowledge of the possibilities, you can get this to work even better. I guess it depends on your circumstances. If this is the only midi device you’re playing into Live, you should be able to switch easily simply by Arming one channel or the other.

As for the ...

Re: Session Record using footswitch

Alternatively, keep in mind that you can also map to qwerty. This opens a lot of cheap possibilities. An example, a Bluetooth qwerty keyboard or even numpad on the floor maybe covered up in a way where your foot presses only hit specific keys.

The downside of course is that they aren’t built to be ...
