Cheers matey i've solved it now..... seems like it was the firewire driver for my audio interface. i dumped all my preferences for both midi and live etc. Then reinstalled the firewire driver and it seems to have worked. Help please my computers gone mad!!!!!!!

Just sat down to warp a couple more tunes and i noticed that since i updated my version to 5.03 yesterday all my midi devices have disappeared from the preferances. So i unistalled all my drivers (firewire driver still working) and reinstalled them. The drivers are there but evertime i open midi set ...

My cache file just keeps growing and growing and it's eating away at my processing power by decoding all the time.....

ableton decodes and saves them in a cache file anyway so why don't i just do it from the start and save them as wavs or aiffs myself on an external hardrive...

I know the quality ...

CDEX has always treated me well...will rip from MP3 to WAV.

Best program for decoding mp3's into wavs/aiff!!!!

I want to convert my mp3's into wavs/aiffs and was wondering if there is much difference between software for doing this..

What do you guys use, is there any difference between say itunes and adobe audition or bias......

Any recommendation or advice would be greatly appreciated as if i am paying ...

Yeah the guys mans right there. You have to do all your connections while the computer is turned off. You should have got a slip when you bought the product it was inside the box explaining this problem. Sounds like it's gonna have to go back again sorry bud.

Just make sure your computer is turned ...

I'm British, from Manchester and the word cunt is offensive to the older lot but not to the younger generations. The same as calling someone a NOBRASH or GOBSHITE and mainly used as cheeky banter between people. Even me mam uses it, not uncommon.....

My latency is down to 8ms i already sorted it out. From what other people have said it's evolutions code that stops jitter so by smothing the midi to get rid of rapid changes, this inturn causes lag on movements... Oh Well!

I was wondering if by muting the midi from the controller then moving the ...

Does this occur on the Beringer controllers too. Evolution say it's an anti-jitter thing that causes the lag. So don't tink thoer doing anything about it. Not doing any qbert but i DJ breaks quite alot so cuts can be quite important aswell as quick sweeps with filters etc.


What do you guys use??????
