I loaded Abelton 5.0 onto my laptop (a MacBook Pro ... the new kind) ... and none of the drop-down folders in my Audio Effects work. The effects themselves work, but the usual choices within each effect don't show up.

Any idea why?

Do I have to reload the program?

I just got my Serato ... been an Ableton user for over a year now (loves it!) ... so now I'm wondering ...

Does anyone out there use the two together? I also just got the latest MacBook Pro (using the Intel processor and the 2.15 Ghz whatever processor) ... so the computer is quick ...

I put the compressor on the main channel to reduce the levels .... is that what you're talking about?

I just took an imported AIFF file and tried remixing it on Ableton 5 ... just extending a few of the bridges and whatnot ... then I sent it to iTunes to play it ... and it has this rough sound to it ... a bit scratchy. Is this just what happens when you manipulate music or is there a way to solve it ...

I want to build my effect - sort of like, make it sound like it's getting more echo-y as the track progresses.

I want the echo to build. Does that make sense?

I just created a few projects, but when I go to open them via my "Finder" on the Mac, it says:

"An error occurreed while reading "filename.aif.asd." Apparently, the document was created by a more recent, and incompatible, version of Live than this ...

Ureka! I got it! Thanks! I didn't realize you were talking about the Utility Folder .... the last one in alphaebetic order is Vinyl Distortion .... I got it now! Thanks guys!!!!!!

What part of this am I missing? Which device folder would I use? I've tried Auto Pan, but I don't get it .....
