I was a proficient user of Max from 97-2003. When I heard the news that Max would be integrated into Live, I was ecstatic. Now I can build all the uttility plugins I need for the extensive MIDI work that do.
Can't wait.

Hey all,
Some things I work with all the time are re-mapping existing controller messages to others. It would be great to have a MIDI Multi-tool that could map a controller to pitch bend, or a controller to another controller. (Or any message to any other message for that matter. Splits, filters etc ...

Aah... I see now.
My concern was that I could only set follow actions in individual tracks, on individual clips. I see now I can select the whole scene, and set a follow action globally. This applies it to all the clips in the scene.
Should have been more patient.

Hi there,
Maybe I need some mnore time with Live, but...
When I finish a session and I want to run it and record to the arrangement view, I trigger each scene manually. This is great from a compositional standpoint, because I can trigger any scene at any moment....

Very much enjoying Live 5. A great leap from Live 4 - I'm glad I made the jump.
I understand that to keep Live stable, clean and easy, we can't have everything. ;-)
I miss some of the functionality from Cubase and Sonar, but not the clunkiness and instability of Cubase in particular.
