go buy a future retro 777 instead, it already has midi implemented, you have more control over the sound, and it'll cost you less in the long run

I've read through the entire post, does this app only work in an XP environment, or will it work in win2k as well. I have a computer running both, so I'll try it on the XP later, but it is the 2k computer that really needs the help.

My partner and I do a live set similar to this but I am on the deck not the computer.

How I do it:

Basically like everyone above has said, choose your BPM and then set up a controller to the BPM in ableton, but set it over a 5 BPM range. I have the Xone 92 so I map one of the controller knobs to ...

For those of you who said they play on the fly - Do you go through your tracks prior to a gig and set up all of the warp markers so your tracks will be on time?

-Even with vinyl I found that sometimes I was so undecisive on what i would want to play next, I wouldn't leave enough time to beat match ...

EQ3 has the feel of a dj mixer EQ more so than EQ4. Granted EQ4 is better, but if you are mixing EQ3 is best - I think it is easier to set up to control remotely too.

I dont' think there is a device that will allow you to sync to ableton directly that will work very well with all styles of music.

I currently use my turntables and ableton at the same time, but I do have a xone 92 so I have MIDI out. BUt, you should be able to use the method I describe below with ...

EDIT: PS - You don't have to hold down Ctrl to click on more than one monitor button. If you go into Options / Preferences / Misc / Behaviour / Exclusive it will allow you to uncheck 'solo' meaning that you can click on more than one solo/cue button at a time by default.

Thanks much for this. I ...

I've also had problems when hitting more than two keys at a time, so I don't think it is a hardware issue.

He delays a sound (say 1/2 beat) then it get faster and faster and more modulated, sort of a metalizer sound, then slowed down again.

I know what your talking about, the sound I mean

The best example I can give you:

Start with the simply delay, and use the "Time" setting not the sync. Now say ...

Personally I've always liked the idea behind the faderfox series, but there are a couple of things that bug me.

1. They are so small, granted I've never actually used one, but the chances of hitting the wrong button seem high

2. Living in the states makes it difficult to get a faderfox, unless ...

I've done the send thing in the past it just so complicated to do something so simple. It would just be nicer to have the function availible.

I don't understand why you would only want to pre-listen to one track at a time, considering most people are playing songs that have more than one channel ...

Monitoring more than one channel

Is it just me, or would you like to see the ability to monitor more than one channel at once? In using ableton it bugs me that I can only pre-listen to one channel at once. How I que up a track depends on how it sounds with the other parts of a track. Anyone agree?
