Re: does ableton owe us something for a crap ver.8?
As with at@t and apple people are putting their foot down and demanding some sort of explanation or even a refund with their computer or iphones,i think ableton owes us something for a shit product that was released to the public while it should have been still in beta for at least another couple ...

Re: something like gross beat out of fruity loops
i'm sure this has been suggested
Been looking around at some software and had not used fruity loops in a really long time. They have come a long way to the kinda stuff I'm looking to route into ableton. I realize that all those things can be done in ableton but it would be nice to have something ...

bringing sample to focus via a midi trigger
i WISH you could set a midi control to the "sample" window so i could bring a sample into focus without using the laptop keyboard. similar to how you can assign a midi key to a device title bar.

Re: sub-bass instrument?
This sounds very overcomplicated to me.
Just duplicate your bass line, drop the midi an octave and use a synth to generate a square wave and filter it. Some use pure sine wave.
If you want to print the full bassline to audio then just route both track to an audio channel and record.
can't you ...

looper question
is there a way to:
when i hit record on the looper, then hit play, to have the clip stop at its current location instead of playing through the whole clip while i'm looping?
i'm hoping so.
thanks
