Re: I need a tip on delay accents within a clip loop
Set up a delay and reverb on a return track and then automate the send so that it only effects one hit.
This seems to have the same problem. The effect on the returnA channel is only audible when the sendA knob is up, so it won't let the delay ring out over the other notes.

I need a tip on delay accents within a clip loop
I don't really know how to search for this and it's probably fairly simple. I have a loop with 1/16 notes that create a plucking sound. I want to accent one of the notes to have it ring out with some delay and reverb at one point during the phrase. All my effects are setup how I want it to sound but ...

Re: Creating Bleepy/Bloopy Electro/Dutch style synths..
Layer your sounds. Look into instrument racks and learn how to split and layer different effects with channels/chains. This can help you fatten up your synths and your sound. A lot of sounds used in electro are fairly simple but they are layered correctly with the right effects.

Re: do i need a disk for the apc40 to work?
To be more specific in setting it up, go to preferences and click the MIDI tab. Select APC40 as your control surface, input, and output. Under Midi ports, turn all turn all track and remote settings on. Good luck

I was running 8.0.4 on a Mac. Updated to 8.1.4 fixed the problem.

Re: Loop in and out for DJing live
Check out my Super Luper rack in my DJ EFX pack, does exactly what you want:

Well, as long as you only want to loop 1 bar.
Thanks for the file but I cannot seem to get your files to work. I see all the .adg files but Ableton doesn't recognize them ...

Re: Loop in and out for DJing live
Could anyone explain what how he's using the effects in this video? I just bought the APC40, trying to set up my effect racks.

Loop in and out for DJing live
I'm very new to using Live for a live DJ set. I want to know how to loop an audio track in and out. I have been trying to figure out how to use beat repeat on a return track but it's not giving me the results I want. I've been changing the output mode to "insert" and "gate" mode since it is supposed ...

Re: When is a Live DJ Set too big?
I'm only familiar with producing music with the Arrangement view. Session mode and DJing with it are still new to me so I dont have any big sets saved yet. Whenever I import an mp3 to a slot in session view, it just renders the waveform then I warp it to the correct BPM.

Re: When is a Live DJ Set too big?
So if I import my entire library (lets say 50 songs to make it easy) it creates 50 wav files, thus doubling the amount of space my music takes up on my hard drive?

Re: When is a Live DJ Set too big?
I have a question related to this post, not to steal the thread but to clarify:
When one imports a song into Ableton's session view, does the Ableton set actually hold the song file within it? or does it just hold information about the mp3 file and pull it from the computer harddrive? I know ...
