Well a reasonable amount of synths/sounds but its not essential to have a huge amount of synths sounds as ableton...

Re: suggestions for a good useful keyboard? (live 8)

a keyboard with sounds of its own Yes, there are a huge number on the market. But.........what type of sounds are you looking for? If you mainly work with specific genres, please name them because then people can suggest a keyboard with suitable sounds onboard. I use synths on my recorded work dire...

But almost all synthetizers can be used as controller in live as long as they have a MIDI out (either by standard midi connection or USB).
I will look at that.

Thanks.

Re: suggestions for a good useful keyboard? (live 8)

Any suggestions for a good keyboard for use with ableton 8? I use an akai lpk25 for recording which serves me very well but i'd like something for live performances and something extra to consider for recording. I'm primarily a guitarist so i dont have huge expertise on the matter but is it possibl...

Piano key attack sound.

Im using a variety of keys and piano tracks on ableton but i feel that the attack sound (sound of the note being played) is too loud no matter how low i set the velocity. I know there is a natural attack sound which is particulary noticeable in acoustic piano, grand piano etc but through my inexperie...

Re: foot pedal for live performances?

Thanks for all the info, I am primarily a guitarist in our group and at a friend's gig i noticed the need to be able to halt the music dead, when a wandering drunk started to stand on amp leads. I will look into the Behringer FCB1010 but if i feel thatmore is required down the line id rather buy onc...

foot pedal for live performances?

I use ableton 8 for live performances and i was wondering does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced foot pedal to control live.
I don't need it for anything special just the essentials as ill have the tracks made beforehand.
