Only one word for me (actually two, when I think about it)

It's just 'Ableton Live!' for me -- always has been. Just always felt like that sounds better. Come to think of it, it sorta has that grand concert air about it when presented to folks I mentioned it to, like it is supposed to be noted as a big show stopper, or something. I figure it's like I'm ...

How it is pronounced

You know like you'll be "able" to do a number of great things because of a "ton" of great software features; that's it.

It's an old fairy tale

I too always find myself wondering where people get that females as a whole are more mature jargon from. I guess it's got something to do with females being the majority in the world; therefore the ratio is greater because of that, or something. But just right out that statement is a "wtf?" one ...

I remember

My first full copy of Live was a cracked version, but I just thought I made a deal with someone who was giving me a good deal on . . . you know the seller place online, where the first letter comes after D [wink]. Anyway, my first copy of Live was a sample version I got with my sound card, do I was ...

"Your music is U"

I will stick with what someone else started with -- do what feels good . . . TO YOU. If you don't, you're gonna go crazy. I can tell you straight up. Try starting by just doing something -- anything -- and then let the ideas flow from simply doing it. You never know, as you may create a new style ...

I must say, Trevor, this is interesting. You say that you did import the information into the computer at the precise tempo you then set Ableton to? Well, it doesn't sound like you recorded directly into live, so I wouldn't suppose you'd then just need to listen to the metronome from live along with ...

I'm normally able to adjust loops sounds easily enough

What I do using an SP-303 is to record the sample first, before then taking to editing the clip timing when necessary using the bottom right side portion of the screen (the clip edit area). There I simply mess around with the vertical points on the clip, double clicking whichever one is necessary ...

Two issues - annoying pop up feature and sound quality blues

Oh -- here's one: the need for, within the preferences box, a check box indicating the little annoying features in Live have been disabled and not just up and opening when you switch from Session to Arrangement view and or vice versa (on the left side of the screen -- effects, drives, vst infor pop ...

Pre clearing the sound quality question:

I was wondering with Live -- is there a way to clear up the sound quality that's played into recording, so that you get exactly what is played into live? what I've noticed is that the sounds from instruments played into Live have some sort of effect that is added from Live that is not as crisp and ...

I found it! I found it!

Guess what you all. I found out what I was initially trying to find out for so long -- that there is a speed arrow feature in version 4.0. Yaaay! What I did was looked at the demo vesion 5.0 that I have and noted that there was a speedy arrow there too, as I mentioned there is also this feature in ...

Yo, Johnisfaster, thanks for your reply.

When I think about it, I am not so sure about turning things around now, It's been a while since I first got that version after all. Long enough for it to -- well, go out of style. I mean, we're on (what?) 5.0 now. Nah, this wasn't a recent purchase. It's ...

Small Venting Session Regarding what is perhaps miniscule

People, people, people -- my situation.

Why is it so annoying that the little arrow on Delta version 2.5 does not work the same in version 4.0? What I notice is that in Delta version 2.5, as well as what I believe in version 3.0, there is the ability to click sections of the grid, which would allow ...

Hey, poshook! I have to tell you -- I soooo agree with what you said. It's terribly annoying. As well, even though Live has that wonderful timing feature for speeding up and slowing down whatever, I still wish it was a little better, as it tends to have that muffled sound when slowed up a bit ...
