a utility wouldnt stop the channel from going above 0db if you start eqing it.

I have my APC 40 setup the way I want (it took me a few days), but one thing that it bothering me is how the channel faders goto +6db. I am trying to avoid hard mapping them because I want to use more then 8 tracks. I thought of putting a limiter on the track, but that really bothers me. Is their ...

I just tried hard mapping them, but it doesnt work. I want to have tracks 3 and 4 lit up on the APC at the same time, and be able to control the beat repeat on both channels with with one knob on the APC

I thought freezing and dragging didn't pick up automation

just route the midi track to a audio track:

command + T (creates the audio track)

goto the audio from drop down and select the midi track

select Monitor In

arm the track by hitting the bottom button in the strip (its under the solo button)

hit record in the top and hit play on the midi clip ...

I have made a 4 band eq with (2) EQ 8's and a Macro. As of right now the Macro goes from -15db to +15db, which is great for cutting frequencies, but using it to boost frequencies is a little impractical.
