I got my new iMac with Magic mouse and Magic track pad. The track pad = WIN

Finally got to spend some time with one at the Apple store again, I like it! Works pretty well, though it did feel a little more sluggish than the trackpad on my MBP. Seriously thinking of picking one up though.

You can change the settings to speed it up. It is much better once you have tweaked it.

I've replaced my kensington ball with one of 'em!

Can the trackpad duplicate all the buttons & "chords" that the Kensington Expert Mouse trackball does? The Kensington offers: 6 buttons (4 buttons & 2 "chords").timothyallan wrote:I've replaced my kensington ball with one of 'em!

Not sure what you mean by chords, but yeah, my extra 2 buttons mapped to expose and reveal desktop have now become 4 finger gestures. Horizontal scrolling takes the cake though, it's what sold me... and pinch to zoom in Logic is awesome. Live however, doesn't support thatoblique strategies wrote:Can the trackpad duplicate all the buttons & "chords" that the Kensington Expert Mouse trackball does? edit: ahh, by "chords" do you mean pressing two buttons at once? I never used that feature.

Yes "chords" are the result of pressing two buttons at the same time. I have mine mapped to switch between vertical & horizontal scrolling, & launching Spotlight in OS X.timothyallan wrote:Not sure what you mean by chords, but yeah, my extra 2 buttons mapped to expose and reveal desktop have now become 4 finger gestures. Glad you like it. It's tempting to me, I do like trackpads a lot, but have had bad experiences with bluetooth & my computer.
