Re: Crackling noise
Its not the buffer size either, as i have messed with it a lot.
And its not the audio clipping either.

Crackling noise
Hi
Im getting a crackling noise through my speakers all the time.
Iv turned them off and had the sound come just out of my imac, but its still there. Monitoring CPU and its all fine, loads spare, and got at least 3gb of ram free.
What could it be? Its seriously ruining EVERYTHING!

I have a sample, and i want to slice it to midi, but i dont want the samples to cut off before the next slice, i would like each key on my keyboard to play from each transient, to the end of the sample ...

Re: Ableton vs Serato- Quality loss when maintaining same key.
Some good answers thanks, ill try them and see whats best for me. Complex pro seems okay now to be honest. Im playin techy house and techno and stuff but also some quite pad and long chords in electronica stuff. Really need to be in key, and need the quality.
Thanks for all your answers.

Re: Ableton vs Serato- Quality loss when maintaining same key.
I use beats mode to keep it in key - like the post says.
Cheers Headrick ill try it, i have tried it before but doesnt seem to make much difference.
You're right hopefully the bridge will sort it out! If it used serato instead of ableton to keep the key the same that would be class, but since the ...

Ableton vs Serato- Quality loss when maintaining same key.
Hi
Im shocked at how much quality is lost when using 'Beats' warp mode in Ableton???
Serato does it fine and doesnt seem to lose much (if any) quality. I need to preserve pitch to keep my mixes in key. This is a real shame since iv just bought an APC40 recently in the hope of using it for mixing ...

Setting up my RANE TTM57 for DJing with Live
Hi
I have an APC40 to use for djing with live, and i use my ttm57 as a soundcard, as this is one of its uses. It has two ins and 2 outs via usb, so i should be able to set up one of the channels as the headphone output in live shouldnt i?
Any help would be class.
Thanks!

So the plug in folders within ableton folder? or the ones in library/audio/plug ins? Cos i thought that contained the actual plug ins - not patches etc

Re: Formatting main HD and starting again...
For plug ins i am reinstalling everything, as i have loads of demo plug ins etc i dont want. Clean install of what i know i use will do it.
So that take the plug ins bit off your list?
Really, as long as i do collect all and save, and save plug in presets in the relevant ableton project folders ...
