this issue is relative to the sample rate. you cannot play back files larger than 44.1 khz. in most audio apps (itunes, winamp, WMP, etc). i was having this issue a few days ago playing my mixdowns in winamp. when played through live or waves or audition, they sounded okay. winamp appeared to make t...

sound card / sample rate issues

in the last few days any audio i play through winamp or any other audio source (myspace, WMP, youtube, etc) appears to be playing 2x slow. sometimes it speeds up by 5-10 bpm. i check my main sound card settings (I have an M-Audio Delta 1010-LT) everything seems okay. this seems to have started after...

thanks. i have actually been using higher quality samples as of late realizing that you can't build gold from shit, for lack of a more clever phrase. i guess i should rephrase my question. why is it that my tracks sound exactly how i want them in live, and then once they are mixed down and played vi...

thanks for the feedback. regarding the bass, i am still getting used to my monitors (maudio bx8as) and their reflection of bass. sometimes the bass sounds right on the monitors and then when played in speakers in my car or at work, is too much. sometimes, in this case apparently, there's not enough....

new tracks up - drumnbass

hey all, i've got a few newer tracks up here: http://www.myspace.com/somejerk they're jungle/drumnbass-ish and were all made using live, with a little post- prod. compression and eq via Cool Edit Pro 2. constructive feedback would be great! the newer songs are "phased out" and "contraindication". th...

getting a better mixdown

i am wondering if anyone else out there finds themselves unsatisfied with the mixdown of a track in Live 5. for example, i have a track, sounds great, everything sounds eq'd and loud well enough, volume bar is about to hit red but doesn't. when i mix it down and bring it into an audio editor, the vo...

are you referring to the Simpler presets? why don't you pop in your own sounds and make your own presets? i don't use their presets at all - for Impulse or Simpler.

hypothetically, any sound will work well if you use the simpler correctly.
