Re: Recreating this sound
Thanks gunforhire but that's not the sound i'm looking for. it's not the hihat sound. it's the sound of hitting a block of wood pretty much. anyone have any idea how to recreate it?

Re: How do you work on your tracks?
i stay in session view completely when starting a new song, it's fantastic the way you can make a bunch of variations on melodies then mix and match so freakin easily (compared to other DAWs). then i move onto arrangement view and slowly build up my beast.

Re: Two Quick Questions
1. I don't know if there's exactly the function you're looking for, but for tricky automations you can hold ctrl (command for macs) and drag the mouse for more accuracy. (that trick works for tweaking any parameter in ableton)

Re: What synth for progressive house?
I'm pretty sure the secret to progressive house is a low-pass cutoff filter with a short decay envelope. then proceed to open filter cutoff. done.

Recreating this sound
Hi, simple question. how do you recreate this noise on a synth like operator? It's a light plucking noise.

Velocity control in midi clip
Hi, how do you use the velocity meters at the bottom of a midi clip? it doesn't change the volume no matter how much i move them around. from what i understand you have to "link" a velocity plugin to them? could someone clarify this for me please.

record samples from multiple tracks onto one track
Hi,
as the title implies i'm trying to record samples i have from multiple tracks (aka the coloumns in session view) onto one other track. I ask this because when the I/O tab is open it only allows me to select "audio from" one source. i've already tried using search and haven't gotten much use with ...
