hey guys,

when upgrading to live 7 it says that it needs to update my live 6 library and that old sesion may not be able to play.
can anyone help me out with understanding this.. ?

trying to change files within impulse sample slots, within the arrangement.
anyone have any clue how you could do this ?

i know that you have arrangement envelopes for all the parameters in impulse..
i also know you can change sounds and all parameters in real-time.

and i can't get timline info to sync w/ midi clock sent via live 5 to a live 6 system.

with my tests, live 5 to live 6 sync wont even send static timeline locations.. just for the record, again.

great when it works and when your under 1024 in the timeline tho.

maybe some 8bit deal ? or just some inefficency in the way these locations are sent or indexed.

wow,k and get this.

when you have sync between two systems, you can click on one location in the timeline it goes to the same location on the other computer that is MIDI sync'd.

cracking my head here.. sync seems to be kinda ok abouit 50% of the time going from live 6 to live 5. ( i reduced the # of gear pieces that sync was going through to end up at the other computer.. tried before with no results. (using a midisport 2x2 to merge the input signals into the ...

works like a charm with tempo and start and stoping one live setup to another, but i cant get song info, for sync'd timelines ! so annoying. tried all permutations, live 6 send sync, live 5 receive, live 5 send sync, live 6 receive..
still wont work.

my trigger finger works great with live 5, but with 6, my MIDI input from the TF into live (usb) works for a few mins then just drops. i dont even get any MIDI intput seen via MIDI monitor, or anything.

then once i restart live, it works, for another few mins. then ...

this is really frustrating me today.

i have a session, mostly built in Live 5. i recently upgraded to 6.
my session works great. BUT when i add a new track the volume faders scale differently (when midi mapped) and my new live 6 returns wont send to my live 5 created tracks or returns.

i've tested with two different sessions.

seems like a toss up. one time reducing scenes lowered my cpu, the other time it did not change things at all.

maybe depends on how many tracks are playing (clips triggered) within each scene.. but in both of these sessions all the clip slots were filled ...
