if your on a mac, peak is really good for burning cd's

ultralite! i recently purchased one and it's been problem free me. but if $500 more isn't really an issue for you, then go with the traveler. you never know you may need the extra features it offers. either way you'll get a great audio interface.

if its just once-in-a-while, I doubt its doing much harm. Make sure its got enough ventalation. what soundcard is it by the way ?

if your running tiger you can help your system by disabling the dashboard (widgets) and spotlight with this free app http://d-t-f.sourceforge.net/ dashboard and spotlight take up cpu. this will increase the overall performance of your computer.

got a motu ultralite this week and was hoping someone would know how to set up an aux send /return. i wanna stop using my mixer that i've been using and go directly in the ultralites in's but am unsure how to go about doing this? i don't have any returns on the motu (that i know of). can i set ...

i'd go with the traveler rather then focusrite. i had the 1st saffire and it was just problems for me, the drivers were always in beta stage. the thing that made me give up with it was it dropped the signal during live performances. i ended up getting a motu ultralite and its been great!

so i am planning on picking one up tomorrow. finally gave up on my focusrite saffire. anyways i was on the motu site reading up on the specs and couldn't find any info about switching the sample rates. i like to record at 44khz. the only thing they mention is 96khz. i don't see why it wouldn't be ...

basically i just wast to record while i move the mouse over the tracks. kinda like a diy randomizer. i set up to record into a new track and selected the resample option. it starts to record and then stops right away. the clip shows in the track i recorded into but how can i do this so it doesn't ...
