Baking MIDI Effects
I really feel like it's a given wish-list feature to be able to bake MIDI Effect results into the notation of the MIDI Clip.

Automatic succession of several Arpeggiators
Since one can set an Arpeggiator to a certain Repeats value it appears odd to me that after that Repeats progression is at end, an other Arpeggiator placed right of it does not start off. Actually this is how I expected it to work when I came up with the idea and need for this stunt in a project ...

Audio Effect controlling amplitude of signal via sidechain
Imagine you love the breathy quality a full-blown reverb or other very trailing effect (like a Corpus) gives a sound.
Then imagine while this alters the sound of a sequenced track to how you want it toally messes up the amplitude signature.
Such as just smearing reverb all over a tight and on/off ...

Audio Effect simulating an Attack Control as if with ADSR
Auto-detecting hits and giving you just a simple knob for attack time to soften any hit to a note in an audio signal (and any other clever feature that you always seem to come up with).
It's rather hard this, I'm usually forced to use X-Click, X-Noise, hard compression, Compressor with sidechain to ...

disable auto-cropping of available notes in midi clips
when using a drum rack or ie. a soundfont via sfz vst, you create a midi clip and enter a few notes, then you go out of the midi-clip editing view and go back again and the available notes, the keys to be inserted notes at have been cropped to the ones you had input and all other non-used notes/keys ...

Re: CME UF80 play, stop, record buttons map to ableton buttons?
I scoured the preferences but found no location setting for the template session.
the only thing I found were a couple of differently hex number suffixed template sessions at
...\Program Files (x86)\Ableton\Live 8.2\Resources\Templates\
Am I supposed to save a session there? If so, what name?
EDIT ...

Re: CME UF80 play, stop, record buttons map to ableton buttons?
question: is there a way to save these mappings in between sessions?
so I don't have to remap all my mappings every time I run ableton?
(the keyboard was on all the while)

CME UF80 play, stop, record buttons map to ableton buttons?
I've an UF80 and it has pref, rewind, fforward and more relevantly record, stop and play buttons.
I'm wondering if there's any way to map these to the play stop and record buttons of Live.
TIA
Erik

advanced (piano) jazz arpeggiator
an arpeggiator which takes a chord in a midi clip and turns it into a cool piano-jazz:ish scale/arpeggio.
features:
* option to set chance slider to play several notes as a chord instead of arpeggiating them (with second notes time offset slider).
* different algorithms like up-down, down-up, random ...

native tracker notation for midi clips as switchbetween mode
upen a midi-clip, piano roll. hit [free-modifier]+TAB et voila you're in tracker notation.
look up ReViSiT or Renoise, but I'm sure you've seen your way around.
tracker notation is superior for quick sequencing and depending on how you design the velocity/pitch/effect columns, in a way more precise ...

how to change/reset start-up project
Every time I start ableton since some while it loads some illusive copy of an old version of one of my projects that I cannot locate.
I'd like it to load the standard one audio, one midi, two return, empty project like default and cannot figure out how to reset this.
TIA
