The Okara 2 speaker is designed to sit on a shelf.

I have a set sound amazing. Made the boxes up myself. Pretty easy to do.

Dave

When the girlfriend leaves you will find time.

I am the same as you. Have a very busy job that allows me to afford all the toys I want but have trouble finding time.

Also have a girlfriend.

I just spent 6 weeks working in Vancouver living in a hotel. I brought a set of genelec 8030 and an ...

they actually look quite tidy muzz. was it difficult to get the fabric to sit so neatly?

No not at all really.

Basically just laid out the material on a flat surface. Put the bat on top of the material then hot glued the material to the back of the bats.

I think it helps that the material is ...

I just did my room on the weekend

Brought some very dense 75 mm insulation bats and then covered them with fabric.

Big improvement in the room.

Looks much better than this photo. Couldn't get a good angle. But you get the idea

You haven't given us much information but I will give you my opinion on the controllers I have owned

M-audio Ozonic - Feels like a toy, now has pride of place on the shelf. Brought because of audio interface built in.
Ediirol - pcr m1 - not good action on the keyboard. But was good for travel very ...

Worked straight out of the box on my macbook pro

I would imagine they are talking about the software supplied with the unit.

There is plenty of other free osx software to replace anything that you may need

8030 for me.

Yes did listen to A7 vs 8030 in same room with same music and I choose the 8030.

Very happy with my choice.

Both are nice though.

Haven't had any fatigue issues in 6+ hour sessions. But these things tend to be very personal.

I am sure you will enjoy either

and yes the rokit 5 ...

Sounds like interesting stuff you are doing down there.

Might have to come down one day and have a listen, especially once you start putting your own stuff together.

Unfortunately the day job that pays for all my toys has me stuck in Perth.

Every now and then I come through Marg's on a bit of ...

What are you looking to do?

Good to see another WA-ite pop up on the forum. There may be a few lurking about but you never hear much.

Would probally help if you actually explained what you want to do with live. It is such a diverse program and people use it many different ways.

Personnally I use it to compose electronic ...

Free Template site. Do a bit of reading. Sounds like what you need.

Gives you a framework for creating dynamic websites without really needing to know what you are doing. Will leave you more time for making music!

I would agree that it is better than xp.... but I would not say that it is better than any thing else.

Have been working with it for a couple of weeks now. haven't done any audio but do run a number of disk/cpu/memory apps on it as work.

Unfortunately it does still lock up. Still just the same ...

A lot of people use firewire attached drives.

You should have far superior performance using a NAS.

1. your network card is better performance than firewire connection.
2. raid will give better performance than a single drive.
