Re: Import MIDI mapping when importing a track.
+1 for this.
VDMX has great implementation of this. (VDMX has the best MIDI implementation of any software IMO)
Anything saved to the library (Track with Devices in the Chain, or Clips in the grid) should save (or at least have the option to toggle save on/off) of any MIDI assignments relevant to ...

Edit Groups
I've been doing a lot of drum tracking lately in Live and I've realized that without edit groups, comping together multi-mic recording takes in Live is very inefficient.

File Maintenance / House Cleaning
When you add any new audio file to Live, it immediately creates an (.asd) file in the same folder where the file came from. And when you then perform a collect all and save of that project, the audio file and the .asd file are copied into the samples folder for the specific project.
However, the ...

Agreed. Even just to make simple Bi-Polar type FX where 64 (middle range) is off/dry.

Workflow Improvements RE: Audio Editing
I've been doing some serious audio editing lately and have found myself wanting the following:
Arrangement View follows/syncs to Detail View
Since you can't edit warp markers or MIDI notes in the large arrangement view, you find yourself going back and forth a lot, zooming in and out. Currently ...

Adjustment for 'Select On Launch' preference setting
The End Goal: Make the Clip Viewer show whatever clip is currently playing by default. Make 'Select On Launch' mode NOT effect the Device Control knobs.
The Reasoning:
1. Engaging 'Select On Launch' is very intuitive for live performance. The Problem with this option is that if you are currently ...

Export 'Selected' Tracks as Stems (Not just All Tracks)
While Exporting in Live, you can select either the Master, or an Individual Track, or All Tracks.
Exporting All tracks is great for making stems. The only problem is that Live renders everything as a Stereo Audio File, unless you select Convert to MONO (which would convert All to Mono).
But there ...

Toggle Follow Actions On/Off for Multiple/All Clips
Follow Actions are great for performance, but when you're trying to mix something where you want to loop a scene, it can get a bit annoying having to either relaunch the scene over and over again, or to one by one, turn off all of the follow actions for each clip.
It would be great to be able to ...

Audio popping when changing scenes
I've been hearing some pops/glitches that happen about one 1/32 note prior to the scene changing. It won't pop when the clips loop back around, only when changing to a new scene, or if I re-launch the same scene. CPU is only at 37%

Clip Envelope Parameter Overide
Hello,
I find it generally unintuitive that in order to utilize a Clip Envelope to control a parameter, that the parameter need to be placed at 100% in order for the Clip Envelope to work. I think it would be much more intuitive if the Clip Envelope just overrode the current parameter setting (like ...

I've made some headway from reading your blog and have been able to modify some of your script for my purposes. Thanks Hanz for the annotated code. That helped out a great deal.

Re: why is my final track volume so low??
I've been experiencing this similar issue when performing live. It seems that, with all levels near zero, and with my audio interface at maximum output, I usually have to crank the trim on the DJ Mixer to get anywhere near the output of the CDJs.
