Ableton slave to Studio One 2.65

I am a Studio One user and I am in CHANGE mode. [Must be autumn in the air.] Can the latest version of Ableton Live be run as slave to that old version of Studio One, Windows 7, my current DAW? I may end up with something entirely different (Pro Tools, Cakewalk, I don't know) but my current focus is...

Re: Is Firewire Dead?

Looks like I'll have to retire my firepod - so the Focusrite will be on my list of cards to consider. The Scarletts are working well for some folks, but there are definitely driver problems for many. Focusrite admits there is a problem, and has rewritten the drivers and promises to do so again. As ...

That's why I prefer build your own desktops. Asus and Intel still offer FW boards. USB interfaces would be better for laptops if they are self powered. Most FW audio units will not run self powered on the smaller FW pins. http://homerecording.com/bbs/general-discussions/digital-recording-computers/...

Re: Ableton & Focusrite Scarlett interface

I quote from the gearslutz forum, a post by Chris from Focusrite, posted 27 September, 2011: Just to follow up on my previous posts: Updating the Scarlett driver is still a top priority for us and our developers are currently working on a new release. We will have an update available in the near fut...

Re: Ableton & Focusrite Scarlett interface

Hi Felonius, I have owned the following sound cards. M-Audio Delta 1010, Audiophile 192, Profire 2626, MOTU Microbook and The Scarlett 18i6 (*which has a few more features than what you are looking at). I had to send my Scarlett back to the store as it crashed horribly with Ableton Live (latest ver...

Ableton & Focusrite Scarlett interface

Ableton Live Lite is bundled with the new USB 2.0 interface, the Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. Because the two are bundled together, it occurred to me that there might be some folks here who are using that interface and could give an opinion about it. If you can, thanks.

Let's have a few threads about the difference between standard putters and belly putters, tying streamer flies from material found outdoors, and therapy for relieving Carpel Tunnel syndrome. After all, this is the Ableton Music and audio Production forum.

Re: Best sounding audio interface under $300?

The Akai is USB 1.0, the Pro is USB 2.0. I doubt that the Pro starts at "$199.9999999999999999."
