Excellent, thanks very much. I currently have Ableton Live Lite 10.1.30. I would like Novation to work with that, and I am concerned that the registration process might try to download a later version. I may get a modern version later, but I want to work with 10 for a while on W7

I have just taken ownership of one of the above, new, dated 02/23, unopened. Two questions arise;
A] Which version & flavour of Live is included;
b] Is the device not functional if I do not register the thing with Novation? Can I plug it is and work with any DAW?

Some kind of emphasis on ENJOYING ABLETON. I don't enjoy Ableton much anymore. Maybe it's because it has gotten too complicated. Also, file management is confusing. Also, I'm interested in basic things like fastest and most enjoyable way to create and complete a song with Ableton.

I would be ecstatic to see Live in ANY Linux version; however, given the number of Linux users, Live For Linux would probably cost about $12,000 ; unless perhaps AI can be used to code it.

Also, would hate to lose the years of history and knowledge stored here, so let's not lose all the old stuff!

I'm making changes of gear' computers, etc., and have a Live 10.3 on the desktop. Can I put a second instance of that on a laptop? If so, how do I authorize it? Thank you.

I'm changing computer, experimenting with DAWs, etc.. I have a Dell laptop with 256GB SSD, and I have a couple of external drives for samples, data, etc..
Could I run my Live Lite 10.3 on such a drive, and use the externals to assist? (I still have one authorization left after older desktop.)

I am buying a Novation midi device which apparently includes Ableton Live Lite. Do we know which version it includes? If it is Version 11-something, can one retain that, or will it automatically change to V. 12? Thanks for any advice.

I wish to trial Live, but I am unlikely to buy anything past the Intro version. Is Intro available as a trial version, or only Suite? The problem might occur that if I have Suite on the computer,it might take me a year to figure out which programmes and bits would not be available with Intro; that ...
