You should learn about gain staging: on each of those tracks, are you pushing each component, adding amplitude with each stage, or is it just that you have the channel volumes up too much and haven't really 'mixed' them?

I had a conflict with the Automap 2.0 drivers at first, but I figured that out.

Care to elaborate what issues you had and how you resolved them? I have the SL Zero and didnt quite anticipate there being conflict issues.

a question though: when you say 'range' of keys on your controller, do you have to depress all keys between the lower and upper notes you want to map the sample to? [cant try for myself right now]
