MDA Piano is the best free VST/Mac piano I've found to use with Live--includes several different sampled piano presets. Low CPU drain too.

Got it:

1) Twist a knob
2) press "Ctrl Assign"
3) enter an appropriate CC # on the keypad, such as 135

Just bought a new Axiom 49, installed the Axiom Live Pack, and finally got the presets working. (Thanks to all those previous posts here!)

However, the rotary encoders only seem to go one way.

They raise the assigned values but don't lower them when you turn them counterclockwise.

True, Logic is always the Master in ReWire.

I can vouch for Ozone, for sure.

Have the demo version of Trash and love it, but haven't used it enough to justify $$$. Same with Spectron--cool, but never found the need. Ozone, on the other hand, is a hell of a bargain.

Ozone has a bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with multiband ...

I was once in the same situation and had to figure all of this out myself, the hard way. (Never ever got a reply from M-Audio either). Hope this helps you make the beats you want--and saves you at least a few curse words:
