Assigning Oxygen 8 v2 pots in Live
I got stumped with this and thought I'd share. It may have been covered before but a search didn't bring up any posts so here it is:
If you are having trouble assigning your pots with an oxygen 8 v2 + live, you need to ctrl assign them to CC 10-17. Here's how.

Licenses and bundled software
If I sell my M-Audio Keystation 49e, which comes bundled with Ableton Live Lite, will either the new owner or myself have problems with license issues? I've since bought and upgraded to the full version of Ableton Live 6.
Thanks!

Thanks!

why does an 8-bit mono track sound even weirder in Live?
Hopefully there is a quick answer/fix for this:
I am trying to use a wav file ripped from a video taken with my cell.
Sample rate - 8khz
bits/Sample - 8 bits
Bitrate = 64/sec
MONO
When played in Windows Media Player or in Audacity is sounds "fine" (as fine as that sound quality gets) but it ...

Yippee!! I don't think I'm much of a studio person anyway...but any excuse to buy a nice new microphone is great by me. I didn't think there was much in the way of field recording gigs....I guess I'm wrong?Sales Dude McBoob wrote:Recording studios may be dead, but live sound and field work are here to stay.

OT: Great jobs if you can get them; what are they?
Answering telephones all day is very, VERY quickly losing its charm so I'm looking for something new where I can hopefully learn a lot about recording/producing/field recording.engineering etc etc
I know working in a studio would be great - but almost near impossible a gig to get as far as I've ...

simpler vs impulse vs a wav editor...help a newbie out?
Hi there...Can anyone point me to a good resource explaining the difference/benefit of a sampler rather than using a wav editor and a drum machine?
I'm assuming that the fun part of a sampler is taking a sound and turning it into something completely different. I like using sounds as-is, cleaning ...

ahhhhhh...ok, yes, I see. you're right, depending on the record, i either get a weird phaser-type sound out of the signal or just the left channel going. I suppose it could make for some interesting effects, but for now i'll be happy to figure out how to record the damn vinyl cleanly and play with ...

I've got the Edirol R09 and LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it. However, it's not necessarily what I would call "cheap." It cost me $500ish and then I spent another $500 on a great Audio Technica AT822 mic and want to add a preamp to the arsenal soon...but, having said that, the Edirol doesn't need an external mic ...
