Lots of new features (having the mixer in the arrangement view alone is killer) plus all the new midi things, Granulator III, Meld and Roar are ridiculously deep, useful items. I'm satisfied. I use Keyswitches to control 3rd party samples. It would be really helpful to be able to edit midi notes and envelopes at the same time rather than having to switch back and forth all the time.

instead of an APC40, i may give the PreSonus Faderport a try - motorized fader and maybe Reaper.

how helpful is the APC40 in arrangement view? it's never mentioned in any of the reviews or ad's or on the Akai website for that matter.

... would be so helpful. i mainly use arrangement view to record and mix acoustic based music. and a wave form editor like DP has would be fantastic.

Anyone else have this problem? I am recording from a microphone into the arrangement view of Live 7 on a powerbook G4. After a few minutes, i sometimes get static and/or a high pitch noise that lasts for a while and then clears up.

I would LOVE to not have to jump out of Live, into Peak and back again to do any extensive waveform editing. If Live had this and 5.1 surround, i would never need anything else.
