MIDI & Key Remote Control Assignment Dropping Out
Hello - I am using a m-audio keystatopm pro88. Sometimes Live just seems to drop the device altogether - no remote control or notes - and I have to exit Live, eject the m-audio device from the system (windows 2000), power on & off the m-audio controller and then start Live again. (Can still use the ...

MIDI Record Overwriting?
Hello - I could use some help figuring something out!
I am trying to acheive the following: record an improvised section (various tracks) on the fly using only my midi controller (easy to do = a scene) then improvise the next section where some of the tracks are replaced with a new part (i.e. bass ...

MIDI Assignable Select Next/Prev Track & Launch/Stop Clip
Hello - I am enjoying Live 4 very much.
I am finding it tricky to launch loops I am performing live in real time while then moving on to performing a subsequent loop on another track right on the beat. For example, recording the bass part on one track which becomes a loop and then immediately ...

Record Quantizing Device
Hello - I am finding the restriction of having one global record quantize setting limitiing when performing live. Could you maybe make the record quantizer a MIDI device instead of a global parm so record quantizing doesn't have to be global?
For example, I need the quantizing on for drums/perc but ...

Re: Split keyboard for two soft synths?
Just finishing reading about using the scale effect to do this - there you go! Very cool!!!HatHead wrote: If your keyboard controller doesn't make midi channel splits for you try Chainer software, it will allow you to do keyboard splits for soft synths.

Re: Split keyboard for two soft synths?
Hello!
Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to assign a soft synth in Live to a certain part of a master keyboard? Not all soft synths allow you to set a range for their keyboards, and it just seems so natural to want to split a keyboard in half with the upper half being one soft synth, and the ...

OK, so put this one near the end of the list but it would cool to be able to assign multiple indexes to a clip so one could get to different families of clips easily where clips can belong to multiple families.
For example, a kick drum pattern might be useful for three different styles of music and ...

Hello - I hope all is well with everyone.
Almost through the Live 4 manual - dig the recursive follow action feature = very cool and handy too!

...but I am using multiple clips - i.e. one for the intro & one for the song. I don't mouse around at all though and use midi assignments to launch/control everything. The laptop is pretty much just a visual monitor for me.
Good luck!

Really important for dj's...
A lot of music is “over produced” or has only a couple

Appregiator
Hello! I just got my upgrade to Live 4 and am very excited - very cool rocking software!!!
I know that there are appregiator plug-ins out there but that might be a neat instrument plug-in to put into your product.
