Re: Sticky Notes

It's saved for me. Use it all the time. Though I would appreciate not having to eyeball all the way down left to see it.

Show chain names when changing chain automation

As of now, all you see is a number, so if the chain selector display is hidden, you have to remember which chain is assigned which values. Unless I'm missing something of course.

Add/remove collection tags en masse

As of now, as far as I'm aware, you must add or subtract items from collections one at a time. At least when I select multiple items, it will only change one. Allow users to add or subtract all select items to or from collections.

Re: Macworld Luna review

Yeah, I wrote the article. I'm out trying to generate more clicks so maybe I can write up others. It's done just "okay" in page views. Largely because UA was so low-key in the release. ;-)

Definitely has potential, but if you're not a Pro Tools person, you might not like the path it takes.

Re: Use loopback in Focusrite's Control software with Clarett

Focusrite Control is a pain and not all the intuitive in my book. However, it can be done. Save your settings and load the System Playback preset and it should work. My 4Pre Thunderbolt uses inputs 11/12.

Double-click or drag to open/close overview

As of now, this can only be done from the menu or of via key command. I can vaguely see why you might not want drag (I'm lying), but not why the double-click that closes most everything else won't work.

Re: good bluetooth headsets or earphones for producing?

Even with AptX, Bluetooth latency will be around 40ms - 50ms. Above 100ms without. They're not for recording for final mixes, though if you're just rough mixing or listening it's workable. AptX HD is 24-bit .

Re: AMP - sounding better than I remembered :=)

It's not half-bad for rhythm stuff, but Softube has done better. The UA stuff and the Marshall CODE come to mind. I like it for bass.

Re: A really stupid question

You can put the VST on one track, and route the other tracks to the track. However, I'm not sure if there's a way to channelize the output of a track to make use of a multi-timbral instrument. Not that I know of or can see. It would be nice to hear from someone with a definitive answer.

Re: Audio Edits - Exporting audio in 192kbps or 320kbps?

You're talking about MP3. It can't be the same bit rate as the original track which will likely be 44.1 kHz or greater. Audibly, there will be little difference from 160Kbps and up, but you will see a bit more high-end on a graph the higher you go. At some point below 320 it stops delivering, but I ...

Re: Layer clips in parallel on the same track in arrangement

The entire editing workflow is based on non-overlapping clips. I don’t see this changing, nor do I, or I suspect, a lot of users want it to.

True multi-clip editing

As of now, Live has multi-clip viewing, but you can't edit the notes of more than one clip at a time. The ability to select and edit the notes from more than one clip at a time would be welcome. I know this has been proposed, so consider this a bump.
