Re: Request-Auto Number Tracks

Try this: type Ctrl-R, then right arrow, this will put the cursor at the end of the description without anything selected. You can also double-click somewhere to the right of the description, this will only select the text for overwriting, but not the "# ".

Live 12 tunings and Arturia Pigments?

The new tunings in Live 12 work perfectly fine with all MPE enabled plugins I tried - except Arturia's Pigments, where they have no effect at all. Strangely, Pigments behaves as it should when I use the Microtuning M4L effect. Am I missing something?

Re: Help! Is there any way to recover audio affected by sample rate mismatch issue?

1) Yes, that would be "just one little glitch", reporting a sample rate of 48 kHz and still recording at 44.1 kHz 2) Yes, if I did my math correctly, playing 44.1 kHz samples at 48 kHz should pitch up the audio by 146.7 cents - or 1.467 half steps. 3) Yes, I would try to use Audacity to ex...

Re: Live 12 - Midi CC 123 not usable.

You should not use CCs 120-127, because according to the official MIDI implementation they "are reserved for Channel Mode Messages, which rather than controlling sound parameters, affect the channel's operating mode." Better use CCs 20-31 or 102-119, which are officially "undefined&qu...

Re: Poly Aftertouch

Poly AT - or "Polyphonic Key Pressure" - is a regular MIDI message that has been part of the MIDI implementation since Version 1. So no, you don't need to enable MPE to use it.

Re: How to skip a track from Master

In the I/O section of Live's audio tracks there is an item labelled "Audio To", and below this there is a litte dropdown list where you can select several destinations for audio output. Try to change this from "Master" to "Ext. Out", this should bypass the master track ...

Re: Ableton and prophet 6 program change after 100th preset

In the MIDI Implementation part (on page 67), the manual says you can use Program Change to select Programs 0-99 in the *current* bank. To switch between banks you will need to also send a bank select message (Control Change 32). In Ableton, CC 32 is the Sub parameter, not the Bank parameter. So, se...

Re: Live 10 question from Live 9 owner

Another minor nuisance with Live 10: keyboard used to be on by default, now it's off, so you need to click on the little keyboard icon on the top right, or hit M to activate it.

Re: Live 10 question from Live 9 owner

In previous versions, Live would automatically arm a track when selecting it, but In Live 10 you need to manually arm the tracks. If you want the old behavior back, you need to create a simple text file named Options.txt that contains the option -EnableArmOnSelection and then copy this file to your ...

Have you tried setting Track to ON for Impact ix61 (Port 2) ? Some devices have a habit of sending controller data and midi data on different ports.

Re: Using Windows 10 pro with Live

Like TheWholeDamnZoo said, the main difference is the extended network functionality that you need when you want to join a company network, but that doesn't eat up any resources when you simply don't use it. You should probably uninstall all the fancy apps that come with a standard installation, as ...

Re: Timestretching midi clips freely?

You might need to check Simpler's warp mode.

When dropping a sample into an empty instance of Simpler, it analyses the sample and tries to set a suitable warp mode for you. Make sure it is not set to Re-Pitch, instead set it to Complex or ComplexPro.

Re: cut off note when next plays in operator

Most likely, you need to adjust the number of voices. When you click in the bottom right section of the Operator window (where the Time, Tone and Volume controls are), the black pane in the middle changes to algorithm view. On the bottom left of this pane there is a parameter called Voices. Set this...

Re: Authorizing Live 9 Lite

On the Novation site, you actually need to click on "Downloads and Activation Codes", and then a list will unfold that contains links to all your stuff, like manuals, drivers and firmware updates. There should also be a download link for Live Lite and your activation code.

The Hi-Z guitar in is a bit noisy, but all in all I'm very satisfied with the sound - much better than I'd expected for €120.
