Song Sketch

Hi Guys,
Does the M4L device called Song Sketch still exist? I watched a great video about it but I'm not able to find it in my Live library. Thanks for reading.

Without knowing what the material you're making/editing is like, I don't really have suggestions.
I'm just working on an acoustic rhythm guitar track and trying to fix a few strums that are off tempo

Re: Editing individual audio transits with Warp

Hold cmd (or PC equivalent) while hovering over the transient and you'll see another 2 markers appear either side of it. Creating a warp marker this way leaves affects only the transient section and keeps the rest locked in place.

Thanks again for responding. Do you have any solutions for ...

Re: Editing individual audio transits with Warp

Every warp command I've tried moves the entire audio clip rather than just the small area around a single transient. Is there a way to do this?

Editing individual audio transits with Warp

I'm trying to tidy up an audio recording of acoustic guitar, and I'd like to manually align a few individual off tempo transients to the grid. Is there an easy way to do this? Every warp command I've tried moves the entire audio clip rather than just the small area around a single transient. Is ...

Re: Random glitches and dropouts in audio track

ISSUE RESOLVED: In case anyone else is having this issue, the Ableton support team recommended that I reset Live, which completely resolved the issue. There’s an instructional video on YouTube which explains how to do this with a few simple steps.

Random glitches and dropouts in audio track

I've been hearing random tiny glitches and dropouts in my recorded audio tracks during playback for the last two days. It happens throughout the track in particular spots, but after 20 listens, it seems to happen or not happen in these spots randomly. When I hear it and then try to replay it in the ...

Audio editing with warp feature

How do I use audio warping to move just a select few off- tempo guitar strums? Most of the videos I’ve watched about warping focus on warping a sample to fit a beat, etc. I’m just trying to clean up a messy guitar part for a guitar and vocal song demo at the moment. Also does anyone have an opinion ...

Re: Monitoring with Pre-Roll

I don't know Protools so I can't comment on how Ableton compares but I did do punch ins on 2 in tape back in the 70's so I get the concept.

Given the essentially unlimited track available I never punch in. Rather I use a new track.

So now question becomes how to create a loop of an area where ...

Re: Monitoring with Pre-Roll

sounds like you have your monitor mode set to 'in' for the track. setting it to 'auto' should play back the recorded bit until it punches you in. the only potential downside is you can't also won't be able to hear your playing until the punch.

This fixed the issue perfectly! Thanks so much for ...

Re: Monitoring with Pre-Roll

Thanks for responding. When I do that, I'm not able to hear the previously recorded pre-roll before the punch in begins. I just hear silence. In Pro Tools, I can listen back to previously recorded audio on the same track I'm recording on before the punch in happens. I'm trying to figure out how to ...

Monitoring with Pre-Roll - ISSUE SOLVED, thanks all

Hi Guys, I've switched to Ableton from Pro Tools, and I have a question about punching in. Is it possible to monitor/listen to the previously recorded pre-roll portion of a track before the punch in loop begins? In Pro Tools, the previously recorded portion of a track plays until the punch in starts ...

Mac overheating while running Live 11

I just started recording audio with Live 11, and for some reason my 2019 MacBook Pro is overheating and the fan is coming on. I haven't had this problem with Live until now, but it's my first time using a Roland Juno with a stereo audio input in Live 11. My rig is as follows:
