Universal online directory of warping files for DJs
Maybe this has already been discussed, but I produce and DJ with Live, just like many others do, and part of the pain of DJing with Live is getting around to warping all of your tracks (I had a gig last Friday and had only one day to get new music and warp all the tracks, 108 to be exact). Most all ...

I use Live for DJing and Producing
I started out as a regular DJ, have used CDJs and Vinyl and finally made the switch to Live after a year of using it for my production work. I would never go back to DJing with CDs, its just so amazing how you can create your own set in Live to suit your needs. Look at deadmau5's Future Music video ...

I've been intrigued as to how exactly Serato and Live will mesh together, but I think Pioneer does see that the CDJ1000 MK4 should have MIDI output if they are to try to survive in the future. I wouldn't be surprised to see them start releasing MIDI only controllers, or OSC controllers (OSC seems to ...

Sure, for organizational reasons. What you might be talking about is the Live temp directory. Remember that Live converts ALL audio (either from MP3s or consolidations or freezes) to wave so it can manipulate it, etc. and keeps a cache of it. You can limit it's size and limit access if space on your ...

Apparently beatportal said in an interview the next day that Justice claims that he had just found out that the cable was disconnected and then he quickly connected it again, HOWEVER, after seeing the myspace photos (i.e., more than one shot with the cable disconnected or nowhere to be seen), I can ...

Re: TouchOSC - Lemur comes to iPhone
Has anyone here had a chance to use the iPhone app TouchOSC yet? I just got it but I don't have wireless set up here yet... The interface is pretty nice though. I can't wait to get it set up! I'm pretty new to all this, but I think using this for a performance would be amazing! It definitely seems ...

What happens when you get an incoming call?
Hey guys, i'm getting ready for a gig i have tomorrow night and was just fascinated by the TouchOSC program but I have one question: what happens when you get an incoming call? AFAIK, you can't block incoming calls without disabling all wireless connections (i.e., airplane mode), the only thing I ...

I ordered them
I ordered the nanoKey and nanoKontrol. I already have a padKontrol but i need something to hold me over when I go to study abroad for 6 months in Madrid. For my setup I think I can get by without the nanoPad, but i'll be sure to post a little review as soon as I get my hands on the units come early ...

FIX THIS THING!
I mean seriously there should be a browser where you can AT Least pick the ones that you want. I've never used more than like 10 automation parameters for one synth at a time, but SOMETIMES that ONE parameter that I WANT to use, is like 129 or above. And really important stuff like THE CUTOFF FILTER ...

Just switched back to 7.07 because 7.10 was so buggy...
Hey guys, I had stopped making music for a while and got back to it last week. In the meantime I had updated Live to 7.10 (like I usually do, thinking the latest versions will always be better). Long story short, it is extremely buggy. Even just running one instance of Jupiter 8-V brought Live to ...

JUPITER!!!
Wow, I went to Sam Ash today to buy a pair of new Yamaha monitors and the Jupiter 8. I had my eyes set on this thing for the longest time (really one of the only Arturia products I didn't own), and let me tell you the thing is A BEAST! It is honestly NOTHING like any of my other synths and I have ...
