Thanks all. I guess I'm picking one up! Whoo hoo.

I just bought a tascam mixer to plug in all my instruments. Can the push 3 be used for this as well? I would also need to use it on other apps other than ableton, for making skype calls, for example.

Before I make the plunge and buy the push 3 this is the one determining factor.

I figured this out and thought I'd share how for good measure. Choke Groups! I had to move all my midi samples into a drum rack and set them to be in the same choke group. This way when one sample triggers it chokes out the previous. So far works great. Thanks ya'll.

I'm trying to get a specific result here. I have a Midi track with samples I like, and I want to be able to trigger each sample so that it plays fully with a full key press (up and down). But when I press another key I need the previous sample to stop playing and continue exhibiting the same ...

Hey guys, sorry about the stupid sounding request, but how do I enable a 4 click leadup before the sound starts recording in live? Should be simple enough, no?

Used antares auto-tune to get the t-pain effect.

My guitar sounds extremely bassy when recorded. Do I just apply a low pass EQ8 filter on the channel or is there a more effective way to cancel or lower bass?

As somebody who is still figuring the ins and outs of ableton, I would love to learn more about how you went about creating this. You are dead on when you say I am trying to maintain the speed of playback. I'm noticing that if I change the octave, it is played back faster. I'm trying to make the sample stick to the same tempo while at the same time increasing speed. I know ...

So is there a way to pitch this sample but retain speed?
