thanks Sibanger. i didn't want to go this route because it requires me creating 3 or 4 new audio tracks for some songs. i'll probably wind up merging them into one audio file...though this means there may be a jump in level when going from my live mix to the prerecorded "tail" mix.

I'm creating Instrument Racks from EXS instruments. There is a lot of back and forth between Ableton and the program I am using to create these EXS' (Keymap Pro).

My issue : Sometimes I need to replace an entire sample set tied to the Sampler, which in turn is tied to the Instrument ...

i ran into the same issue a few weeks back and was told by Ableton Support that there is still no fix. they say the only workaround is saving in an older Logic format (pre-Logic 9) before opening the file in Live. you can actually do this in Redmatica's Keymap Pro or ProManager. they call it a Logic ...

Sorry for a seamingly simple question, but does anyone know when the Corpus effect was introduced in Live? I upgraded to Live 8 Suite over a year ago and can't seem to recall if it's origins...

very late on this thread but i too would love it if Live made it easier to record/comp takes...i'm wondering if this question has been actively directed to the folks at Ableton?

actually figured it out...my version of the problem anyway (which sounds the same as Harry's issue)...input from spdif is received on channels 3 & 4 in the I/O panel of the channel strip. using an Mbox standard you have 2 mic/line inputs and then 2 spdif left/right inputs...this is reflected in Live ...

same problem i'm having right now...i'm running a mic through my Mini-Me, spdif out and into an Mbox 2 spdif in. there's no option in ableton live for selecting spdif L/R...harry, did you ever find a solution to this problem?

No, I haven't re-routed any of the FX or tracks. I've gone back into the session and trimmed down on both FX and automated actions and it's no longer occuring...The primary track I was having problems with has the following FX applied to it:

MIDI FX:
- Chord
- Apreggiator

AUDIO:
- Compressor II ...

I've run into this problem before and have basically ignored it until now...my ears are ringing... :x

I'm running a session with 10+ tracks and a large amount of FX. The CPU load meter only reads around 26% but after for a minute of playing the session 1 or 2 of my tracks will severely ...

ableton is now locating the tutorials but the samples tied to the tutorials are coming up offline...shouldn't this also be straightened out now that i've set my Library path back to the proper location:?:

I'm trying to access a tutorial to try and prevent driver latency but Live isn't finding any tutorials on my hard drive. Seems like a simple problem but I'm not sure how to find the missing lessons files...
