Do you have another application that will tell/show you a dB level reading in an "averaged" way ? ...so you can check a finished, rendered file.... to be sure?
I know Wavelab will, SoundForge, etc.

A free one would be Voxengo Span....I forget but ..set it to Averaged..note the readings on Right ...

In Cubase, search for, and check the box "Release ASIO Driver in Background". You might have to open Cubase first, before Live.

It sounds like you have not invested the time to really learn how to use them.
This is not a bad thing, it happens to most of us. I have a few VSTi's that I know I could possibly use more, but I haven't the time to learn, or , my priorities lie elswhere.

Yes, with Recycle, the Gate/Sensitivity Slider is not doing it for me as well.

First of all, the last slice of a loop has no marker on it's right side....until the next sound (which is the begining of the next loop, including all the silence in between). Now I could put another marker in there, but ...
