Re: Free video on post production sound design in Live

sorry if i am being picky... but its what i do for a living & i find it interesting how in some instances the term 'sound design' has gotten confused between the two seperate areas of synth/sound programming versus film sound design. They don't have that much in common.... film sound design is after...

Re: Free video on post production sound design in Live

You can burn timecode into any video using Final Cut Pro or any number of other apps.... That will give you a timecode display onscreen which you can then relate to the master video when it comes time to layback to original master video..... BlackMath when you started work on your friends short you ...

Re: that flying lotus sound?

i think maybe he uses 3 weapons that you're missing:

his ears, his brain & his experience

u gotta get over the 'what kit' question

its not about how
its about why

why is how he gets his sound
not how

Re: Multi Channel Plug in Output Support in the future?

Its a valid request as its also needed to create a surround panner, from the MaxforLIVE FAQ: "Audio I/O Max for Live uses the same objects as Pluggo for audio I/O, plugin~ for audio input and plugout for audio input. However, all audio I/O in Max for Live is currently stereo, as is true for all Live...

Re: This guy i work with won shut the F*ck up about Pro Tools

I'd suggest you ask him to stop being so insecure.... PT is good at some stuff, Live is good at some stuff; they both have their strengths & weaknesses, but there is no need to be overly defensive or insecure about either Lets face it, you could make music with either - the music is in you, not the ...

Re: Any video purists on here?

its kind of odd how you have such a problem with it
many many genius film makers who work in the medium
to a higher degree than you ever will don't complain about it...

but if you are claiming gaming looks better than cinema then
i think we can just agree to disagree...
