GIGABYTE GA-790XT (rev 1.0)- I think there are newer versions of this board.
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Socket AM3 3.2 GHz
Runs very well with both Firestudio Mobile Firewire & an ESI UGM96 USB interfaces.
Low latency and stable.

Re: Best quality Firewire Audio Interface = / < £300
Hi, It depends on what sort of ins & outs you want- I use a PreSonus FireStudio Mobile and I am very happy with it-nice sound and a latency of under 10ms. It also comes with Studio One software which I have recently upgraded to he full version-excellent simple DAW and mastering.

Re: SAFFIRE 6 USB-drummer click track-suggestions?
Hi EnjoyRC
I also just ordered one and it should arrive tomorrow. I had a look at other units and this came out top in terms of sound quality and easy switching of the headphone socket on the front of the unit. Looks very good for the price.
Cheers

Re: New iMac firewire connection question
Thanks for the replies people.
Mr Driveways: I am very pleased with the 24D. There were some new drivers when Snow Leopard came out. I have not had any problems with the older or new drivers.

New iMac firewire connection question
Hello all,
I am interested in getting one of the new iMacs. I have a firewire interface- TC Konnekt 24D- and a firewire external hard drive. Is it OK to daisy chain them? Does anyone have experience of doing this?
It would have to be: iMac>Konnekt24D>HDD as the HDD only has one firewire port & the ...

Re: Interface
I have a TC Electronic konnekt 24D which I really like, it has compression & reverb built in which can also be used as plugins. Excellent sound quality & low latency on an iMac.

Re: Separated track export for Looper!!!
Agreed, it is a big limitation of looper.
I like loopers interface and how it works but the fact that it only allows export to a clip as one file no matter how many overdubs you do is a big deficiency. Would be good if this could be sorted in an update.

External Synth patch list- is it possible?
Hello Forum
Is it possible to create bank & patch lists for external synths that then appear in the dropdown menus in an "external synth" instrument.
There are the patch & bank dropdowns in the "notes" section of the clip but I cannot see an obvious way to put in the actual patch & bank names ...
