IFCB problem

hello does anyone using ifcb for berhinger fcb 1010 exprecience the following problem
ifcb get really slow and i get the spinning wheel ( for about 15-25 seconds) very often when i want to change a paramater or something

i noticed with me that if both midi cables are not plugged in (IN and OUT)
ifcb wouldn't be recognized
maybe that could help

my problem by the way is that ifcb is reacting very slow ,i get the spining wheel quiet often
any solutions ?

you're right
sorry what i meant is an option that once the clip is recorded , it doesn't warp it automatically for the playback , it just leave like this

this my question
why if i load a project in live with 2 or 3 VST instruments in it , it doesn't make any difference in the cpu and the difficulty to play the track if i leaéve the original amount of RAM of 256mb in my g5 dual 1,8 or if i put 2GB RAM extra
please explain me this; what is the ...

Recording Without Warp

hello
is there a way to record without the automatic warping
since i notice that leaving all these warp clips in my timeline makes it difficult for live to play the clips without delay ?

i am running live 4,1,4
the latency given by the sound card (edirol fa-101) is 7 + 9 ms
when i do the test to put the overall latency i have to put extra 67 ms (which is huge)
i am running at 96khz and 24bit
another problem that i noticed is when i try to record now and live is running ...

well
the test i did is without any external synth
it is just by using a kick making it go out trough the card and directly back in trough the same card , record it at the same time it plays it and see the delay between the
two.
what is a normal common i/o buffer size settings?

Help Overall Latency

hello
i just notived buy doing some recordings of external hardware (midi synth) that the sound was a bit off beat so i check the test explained in the manual to correct the overall latency.
i did the test as described and i have to add 63 mms. is this normal ?
i am using an edirol fa-101 with a G5 ...

sorry again is athlon 64 with 1mb of cache memory better than other model like pentium 4 or pentium m 735 with 2mb cache memory ?

so if i understood good first choice amd athlon 64 processor (but which figure ? 3200-2800-... so many different ones)

centrino but with 2mb cache ? right ?

ok to make it simple i could pay around 1300 euros (taxe included)

so if i understand you good a laptop with a pentium 4 3,06ghz is really enough for a use of live for performances

i had some problems with my titanium 1ghz
and i would like maybe to go to pc laptop
i have no idea what model should i buy , i would like to get quiet the same performance that my mac . i will use it mostely for live performance .
what model should i get- what kind of processor ...
