So Friends,
I have reached a point in my productions where I have close to 15- 16 tracks and sometimes even more going on.
And I need a hardware device which basically has close to 15-16 channels minimum and provides me with all the controls I need to be more hands on with the project.

Re: Issues when recording into live (random distortion)

I have been trying to record some vocals on my tracks , along with vocals some external synth through Korgs and Moogs but the Latency is horrible and if you try to reduce the latency the audio starts to crack.
Here are my 2 cents :
Its about the soundcard.

Re: DJing on the fly with ableton
warping on the fly doesnt really require more than 30 secs
use 1.1.1 marker as the start point
warp straight from there..
move the marker left or right till it beat matches
DONE
<30 s

that method is basically setting the bpm very accuratly rather then warping... by stretching a marker near the end to line up nicely you're stretching the entire track around a number of beats - ie, setting the bpm

So I have my arrangEMENT READY IN lIVE.
I want to finish the project in Logic.
I do not want to export all stems and then do the entire mixdown in Logic---- Or should I?
If I want to export into Logic a Single 24 bit wav 44.1khz wav file out of live what should my parameters be for :
1) Each audio ...

Ideal new enhancement I would like to see in Live
So you know how one has to prewarp tracks adn set the right start 1.1.1 markers so that beatmatching is not an issue before hand?
What I tend to do -- for spontaniety is forego that process and warp on the fly by moving the 1.1.1 starting marker left to right until the track playing and the track I ...

Re: Improvement of the Audio Engine
I don't think there's anything wrong with Live's 'audio engine', certainly not in comparison to other DAWs. When this discussion comes up, it's almost always an issue with someone not understanding some of the ways Live works that is causing the issue. More often than not it's that they are using ...

Re: Logic Studio 9 vs Ableton live 8 Suite
The more I use Logic - The more I miss Live's workflow.
Live is so intuitive-- Logic's workflow is difficult to grasp.
Pardon my slow headedness here but I have had logic for 2 days and I still cant find how to add individual FX to channels...
wHERE ARE all the FX?

Just got logic pro 9
I have live v 7.02
Clearly Live's workflow and ease of creation is not something anyone can touch at the moment.
But for mixdowns a lot of artists bounce the stems from ableton to Logic.

Re: THE VESTAX vcm-600 CONTROLLER
I purchased my Vestax VCM 600 about six months ago.
I personally love it. I think it's a great piece of kit. Built like brick shit house and is clearly laid out. It's definitely more a sketch pad controller when it comes to producing with it. I almost always start off most of my tunes by using it ...
