Re: Master limiter or not?

but a Limiter (set to -0,1 db) is always the first thing i throw onto the masterchannel in every project in every program.
You know what happens when you exceed 0 db?

There's no need to go anywhere near 0dB when mixing.

Simon is correct with regards to levels. You don't NEED to use a limiter on ...

Re: setting up live with RemoteSL

Novation is currently working on Automap 3.5 (still in beta) but the current version 3.4.1 works fine with Ableton out of the box. Install automap which has the drivers for your Novation and select daw setup guide for Ableton.

Hope this helps,

Tan

Re: Hard Disk Overload and Dropouts with only 40 Tracks

Here something to consider: try freezing some of the more CPU intensive tracks namely, those that use plugins..

Dropouts tend to occur because your computer cant keep up with the audio. Increasing your latency will tend to make your system more 'stable'.

My appologies if you have already ...

Re: Windows 7 Live 8.0.9 Packs not installing fully

you do realize that packs only get installed/updated from what's in your library.. just because it says something wasn't installed doesn't mean you don't have it. it just means you didn't need it

I was running 32 and yes, I had severe problems like you. As I recall, my system had soundmax drivers and it was X'd out in the asio panel. I just ...

I downloaded the ASIO4ALL v 2.9 (latest version)...no sound, did what I used to do when I had a VISTA laptop which was to stop Windows Audio service before opening up Live 8.0.9...still no sound.

Is there a solution to getting ASIO4ALL to work with Windows 7 Home?

Dean.

I noticed this ...

[quote="dustball64"]Sorry for the bump but I really need this solved. I think I may have found the problem but I will need help from you guys since ASIO's FAQ doesn't cover it.

After looking over the issues you are having, it's not with the ASIO. However, because you are running Windows Vista, you ...

Re: windows 7 plug in problems am I the only one who...

Hi Andy, aside from the fact that you have these plug-in problems on an OS that has just become RTM, it will take time for various applications to smooth out in the new Windows release.

Sure low latency is great but at what sacrifice? Besides, if your DAW is working (say in XP and/or VISTA) I would ...
