Well. How is it supposed to set the driver/latency/delay or whatever to get also midi recording synced?
connect an audio out to an audio in
track 1 - an audio track with a short sample in it (I like kick drums)
track 2 - an audio track to record track 1 when it plays
track 3 - an audio track ...

well it was set off. I set it to off as default because I use a lot of HW and use HW monitoring all the time.Tone Deft wrote:track monitor has to be set to OFF for delay compensation to work.
if you need to monitor (and you will), use the direct monitor on your soundcard.

I did not read the whole topic but I have a very strange phenomena.
I made the driver error correction like described, out-to-in and set it to almost sample accurate but if I play back a midi and record the audio from an external gear it will have some latency.

Well I found another way to crash 8.1.1.
Run the driver error compensation set, put it on loop and record over and over. during recording try to set the compensation value in the preferences. Live crashes instantly. I always used to set the driver error compensation like this. On the fly changing ...

Can the launchpad be used with the full version of ableton live or only with the stripped worn version?

That's a good question. I'm a fan of small software. If it is not small than something is going wrong.
