Nope. If you're looking at free stuff, the only program with Rewire capability that I know of is Plogue Bidule.

Erm, the above post was me, forgot to log in like so many others here

Anyway, I think that you won't lose on software availability if you choose a PC over a Mac, just the other way round (I'm talking about FX and instruments, not hosts). You'd buy a Mac for other reasons.

I've had the opposite experience, and actually find Bidule even more stable under Panther. If you're using Jaguar and your system is stable, I'd be hesistant to fix something that isn't broken, but if you're already using Panther and running into problems, try repairing permissions with Disk Utility ...

Always interesting to see who's been using Live in interesting ways, especially established performers.

Re: Live timing issues...

Was Reason rewired to Live or did you export the drum file from Reason and then import it into Live? The reason I ask is you may be experiencing timing jitter, which is sometimes encountered when rewiring Reason to other applications. If it's the former case, then lowering your sample buffers in ...

My sentiments exactly.

New features are not very helpful without better basic usability. Altivec, pretty please. At least optimize the Live effects!

I appreciate you guys at Ableton including bug fixes for Mac OSX in the 2.1.2 update, even though the main pressure was to fix the PC problem. Very professional. And you guys did it on a weekend too. I respect that.

Hopefully, they didn't feel they needed to highlight it because it's now a matter of course that usable performance is available on both the PC and Mac versions, and they didn't want to dwell on past shortcomings as well as risk upsetting PC users by ...

Me too but...

I'd like that too since most Mac users feel a bit shortchanged and every update has cost money. I'm sure it's not going to happen though.

My guess is that Live 2.1.1 was Ableton's big attempt to make it up to Mac users (the update was mainly for the Mac; PC bg fixes were minimal) without having to ...

Inevitably wary

I can't help but feel a certain amount of caution seeing as the Live development team explicitly admitted to rushing the release of Live 2.0 in order to pay the developers, and then scrambling to release updates to fix bugs they knew had to be there.

What about this time? Do they feel they just ...
