Very true. I was wondering this, but on the trigger finger, can a different pad be used for different instruments. Lets say yoou have the top row for an impulse, and the rest for use with an simpler instrument.

The 2500 kills the korg, but you'll be payin a hell of alot more for the 2500. I use live and a mpc1k, and love the combo of the 2.

Thats exactly what I did. I di have have sound forge, but like to use Acid. So when I mad the move to Live 5 about a week ago. Only the 1k uses midi clock. The rest of the mpc series uses midi time code.
