Hey guys,
I have finally managed to MIDI (CC) map all 127 parameters in live. I was wondering how I could go about enabling a new MIDI channel or something so that I can continue mapping more parameters. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Ableton Dj Set - Easy Way To Equalize Track Volume?
mp3gain is a software volume equalizer. the reason i thought that it may not work is due to the nature of how it tags a file. i was not sure if ableton would be able to read that tag or not.am wrote:what does this mean?M6live wrote:Does mp3gain work for Ableton 8?

Ableton Dj Set - Easy Way To Equalize Track Volume?
Hey guys.
If I have imported a collection of tracks into live for the purpose of a dj set, what is an easy way I could go about equalizing maximum volume (in terms of physical location on a fader and decibel) for all of the tracks at a given volume cap. In other words, how can I have it so that ...

Awesome! Thank you for the response.outershpongolia wrote:I don't think theres anything wrong with it.. it's not like choosing "None" is a lesser option or has lower performance, as far as I can tell, it's just not going to use the other methods.

Re: Ableton MIDI Question // HELP!!!
Awesome! Thanks for the info. Aside from the direct pickup (wherever your controller is) does Takeover Mode 'None' have any response issues?

Re: Ableton MIDI Question // HELP!!!
I just tested 'Value Scaling' out, and it seems a little bit better. Definitely still not instant pickup. I set Takeover Mode to 'None' and I was able to instantly pickup my values. Do you guys know of any disadvantages to using 'None' in Takeover Mode? Does it ever lose track of values mid set or ...

Ableton MIDI Question // HELP!!!
Hey guys,
Whenever I go to start up a live set, the devices I have mapped with MIDI controls in Ableton always await pickup before they respond. I have to move my controls around in order to get the values responding to their MIDI CC's. Does anyone know a way around this so that when I start up a ...

Audiofire 12 + DAW issue
Hi there.
I'm having some issues interfacing my Echo Audiofire 12 with Ableton Live 8/Fl Studio 9 (and I'm assuming any other daws). Its running through Firewire 800 and Vista 64 bit.
My problem is with the inputs. When I use the Echo Audiofire console program and input something, the output comes ...

Re: Swing & Groove Question / Tip
Thank you for all of the responses. The issue is much clearer to me now.
That would be awesome.Simply record the audio to a track unless you are talking about realtime grooving. Which of course, no DAW can do yet.
