I'm a new user (probably 6 months max) and I've offically given up Digidesign for Live. As a "tool" more than just a DAW, Live is far superior for my needs.

I recorded two albums for two different bands entirely in Live and so far so good.

Can I ask you protool guys.... Whats the deal with rendering audio in real-time? I understand that you can catch mistakes or whatever but really its digital. Or is there something there I don't know?

The MIDI editing isn't the most comprehensive, no groove quantize or randomization functions. Audio editing is pretty simple, though there are usually workarounds (things like lack of crassfading and controllable fade in/out).

Thanks for all info! I really dig Live6 and Wave Editor. There both solid platforms. I've been helping out the WE guys with some testing. The WE guys are great to work with and are working around the clock to get this matter solved.

Yup. I just tried what you did. But I did not get an import error becuase I had my seting at aiff 96000 32 float... BUT I saved the file and brought back into live and it was maxed out just like your video. I really dig using wave editor my guess its an ableton problem.
