im also having this problem, it sometimes crashes even when i preview the clips in the browser, have you sussed it out yet. ive just sent in the crash and log files so now waiting for a reply.

when i use my soft synths it bumps my cpu up to 40% and above (this is just 1 synth playing on its own) which then causes the sound to clip as soon as it passes 40%. im using the latest version of live and its running on a mac book os x 10.4.11. 2.16 G Hz core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ram.

go to your preferences and on the record/warp/launch tab deselect the arm button (next to exclusives) now youl be able to arm as many track as you want, you can also do this with solo so you can solo as many track as you want as well.

ive had this problem, but it crashed regularly, especially when dropping clips into session- it would slow right down and activity monitor would say that live is consuming 100% cpu(sometimes 105%) then it would just give up, and thats with no instruments or effects added and just a few clips loaded ...
