i've had my bcr2000 about 4 years or so, had worked flawlessly until a while ago. the usb connection would randomly crap out, so i tested different usb cabels, ports, computers. all dead. so i MIDI-ed it up and it works fine. so i guess these things have a tendency for the usb connection to fizzle ...

to the OP's question: if you start up your computer and get no sound through the saffire, go to mix control and in sync source switch from internal to any other option, then back again to internal and everything should be ok. saves rebooting the computer or turning power off and on with the saffire.

i'm thinking about buying a new 20" imac for my studio, so was wondering if anyone else here has this setup. gonna keep my powerbook, but really need more power and screen size for studio work and running live7 (which is balls on my PB) and also running reaktor.

I'd recommend my flickr photostream, it has a ton of 3d visuals captured in 1680x1050, and even a few that are 2x1680x1050 - most of these shots have been on my desktop at one time or another.

know what you mean. iuts been fun getting a track a day, but disappointing to see further (similar) versions of the album tracks that dont really go wild with invention. so far, perlence subrange 3 and the very latest 90210 :-) version have been most satisfying.

this shows all automapping for effects, instruments etc. it applies to the top encoder groups.

7.0.5 is running ok, but i still get occasional distortion/drop-outs when using the crossfader. this has been present in all verions of live 7 so far. it's hard to recreate the problem though, so i haven't sent a live set to ableton to check. usually with big sets with reaktor plugs. never happened ...

and yeah, surgeon (of minimal techno fame) plays a lot of dubstep in his sets these days. plus neil landstrumm is tweaking his techno in a very dubstep direction also.

i've been using that guys plug-ins for some time. first time i've seen cyan/n. can't wait to download it when i get home tonight.

put the drum clip on an audio track.
put the flanger on a return, and turn the send all the way up on the drum audio track.
in the I/O routing section choose output to sends only.
