Hi all, I'm new to live as a sequencer and love the set up.
I have a few newb questions I'm hoping someone would be kind enough to answer.
1. Is there any way I can change pitch bend parameters for a sound I want to alter with my controller wheel? I like to use the wheel sometimes for fifth's ...

Re: how to create a mono kick
Using the utility like that should definitely eliminate all stereo shenanigans. But if it sounds panned regardless, it's possible that the track itself is not centered. Or you have some return effects applied to the track.

One way to work around it is to buy a USB hub with a power switch.

Re: Controlling time with midi controller?
Yes, the follow actions work pretty nicely for this and it's not that painful to set up either IMO. You can also set the clips to always have a 1/16 quantization regardless of the global quantization.

Sure. Just use Paul's extreme sound stretch like the "original" did. It's free.

Re: Live Video
I don't think Live's video support could be called "video mixing" by any means. I believe it's mostly meant as a helper for scoring soundtracks and such. You can basically drag&drop a video clip on an audio track in the arrangement view and have the video play on a window. Pretty much the only ...

Re: Unsafe sex in Chernobyl: Would your dick glow in the dark?
I don't think you'd have any problems if you avoid sticking your dick into one of the "hotter" spots.
:P
Your photos man WOW! What was it like?
Thanks.
It was very eerie and pretty surreal. But also somehow very beautiful and calm. Vegetation and wilderness were claiming back the city. There ...

Re: Unsafe sex in Chernobyl: Would your dick glow in the dark?
I was there a couple of years ago. I don't think you'd have any problems if you avoid sticking your dick into one of the "hotter" spots. The amounts of radiation can vary surprisingly much between very small distances if there just happens to be a patch of ground or moss that has soaked more of the ...

Re: I need a new XBOX 360 game
Alan Wake is REALLY good.
Thank you. :D
All the big ones are mentioned here already but there's quite a few goodies more in live arcade. Limbo was nice indeed but overall I preferred Braid as far as puzzle platformers go. It'll make your brain hurt but in a good way. Castlevania: Symphony of the ...

Re: What program would you use to make this 3d-animation?
3dsmax, Maya, Softimage (aka XSI) and Blender are all viable options, each with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. That clip could've been done with any of those, or a handful of other programs not mentioned. There's no way to tell just by looking. They all can handle modeling, materials ...

Re: Recording lenght pre defined
In arrangement view you can use the punch-in and punch-out switches to prevent recording before/after the song looping points. The buttons can be found on the top, next to the song loop on/off switch.
