Hi folks,
Imagine i have a drum rack in Live, and i'm tweaking the filter on a pad with the dedicated Push hardware Simpler filter knob.
My question: is that controller data appearing at either the USB output, or the mini-jack MIDI output of the Push?
So imagine i wanted to record it (the data ...

Re: Send Live OSC info to iPad (Open Stage Control)?
Thanks!
I also found this, which is really appealing, because i could buy his controller, than reverse engineer it to understand how everything works:

Thanks for the info!
You said: " First off, I assume you are doing this in M4L "
Until now i was just sending MIDI from OStageC to Live via LoopMIDI.
Although i sometimes use M4L devices, i have zero understanding about how Max integrates with Live.

Send Live OSC info to iPad (Open Stage Control)?
Hey folks,
I'm getting into making a custom iPad controller for Live using OSC and Open Stage Control.
I already know how to control things in Live from the iPad with various OSC messages.
But how about doing it the other way around? Say i create 8 tracks in Live with various names and colors, is ...

Agreed, we should be able to click a pad, then shift click another, and all pads in between should also be selected for easy deleting.

Re: Multi-sample drum rack load, with different settings from default?
The fine people over at the KVR forum helped me with this, just in case anybody else runs up against the same problem, the answer is:
Load a Simpler or Sampler device into a Drumrack, tweak the settings to your liking.
Right click on the Pad choose "Save as Default Pad".
Next time you drag a WAV ...

Multi-sample drum rack load, with different settings from default?
Hi folks,
I'm looking for some workflow suggestions in Ableton.
My goal: I want to load 128 vocal chop WAVs into a drum rack.
Problem is, if i just drag the samples into the drum rack, it'll put each sample inside a simpler, in one shot mode.
But i'd i want to have a short release and not one ...

Please give samples in the browser a zero latency trigger button
When I'm programming a beat, i often want to try different samples without loading them into a drum rack or sampler.
It would be great if there could be a button next to each sample in the list that lets you trigger it with zero latency, just by clicking on it with your mouse.
(see image below for ...

Please make search in the browser location sensitive!
Imagine I search in my plugins folder for "compressor".
A few minutes later i go to a folder of samples to look for something.
Hey, where did all my samples go!?
DOH! "Compressor" is still in the search box.
Is there a fix for this or a setting i'm not aware of?
How likely is it that i'll ...

Re: Help identifying sound.
Sounds like an organ type sound where you keep the mid-range partials but remove the lowest sines.
Something like Avenger could do this, or MPowerSynth, anything where you can manually draw in all the partials yourself. mess around until you get something you like.

Re: Option to stop audio from delays/reverbs when stopping transport
Good point, it makes working with very long feedback quite a chore.
Check out Blue Cat's Late Replies, it has a panic button to flush the delay buffer, which you could trigger with, for example the highest note on your MIDI keyboard, to kill everything.
The future would be clever communication ...
